Me again ! Well, telling you all about our lovely Madrid sunshine certainly cursed us for the next few days ! We left Madrid on Saturday in beautiful sunshine and drove 2 and a half hours North to Abejar which is a tiny village in the Castillo y Leon region. Me again !! So, we moved on to Madrid, I had booked us 3 nights at a room outside the capital but on the train route and it had a little (actually VERY little) kitchen area so we could self cater and save some money. It was a bargain at £30 a night although the online reviews did say it was set in an industrial estate in a 'dubious' area. So, we arrived, all looks very nice - the hotel is very new, clean and modern and we drive off to the local supermarket. Hmm...

Hola ! So we moved on to Marbella (or Marbs as we now like to call it !) - surprisingly, we really liked it there, I was expecting it to be very tacky but it is very pretty, with a beautiful long promenade to walk and some great little cafes along there to sit and enjoy a coffee whilst people watching. Hola from a very sunny Spain and two slightly red little burnt Brits !! So, having moved on from the wet and very British Benicassim, we moved to the beautiful Sierra Espuna National Park, a great area for hiing, which we did and saw a herd of mountain goats on the way.
