Hoi Well we had a good time on our return to Nancy, we went to the Fine Arts Museum in the afternoon, which had a lot of old, religious paintings but also some new, modern stuff which ws better. The hotel Campanile Nancy was really well located with secure parking nearby and we found a lovely cobbled street for dinner. Thursday night atmosphere was like a weekend, all the French were out drinking in the sunshine and there was a lovely wine bar for an aperitif. D...

Bonjour..... So we moved from Munich to Waldsee, a campsite by a lake where we'd hoped to spend a few days. Sadly the campsite didn't match our expectations - I think it had been built - and left - in the 1970's! In fact I'm not sure it had been mowed or weeded since then either! Well Liechtenstein is very tiny! And has less than 40,000 residents. We arrived on the 15th which is their National holiday and a big event here, the Prince opens up the castle gardens and all the residents are invited in for a beer, then there is a torchlight procession down from the castle to the square and several stages with live music followed by a fireworks display. Bonjour from the North face of the Eiger (at ground level, obviously!!) So we had a long day drive from Nancy to Grindelwald, about 6 hours, and arrived in the pouring rain with the low cloud blocking all the great views. We had just got the tent up in the rain and were putting everything inside when the campsite owner said we needed to move about 4ft as we weren't on the pitch correctly. So that was a nice welcome!!
