Today we had a free day in Corfu. I was feeling really unwell so stayed in our room until we had to check out. Once we checked out just before 12pm we put our bags into storage for the day. Paul spent the day in the pool and at the bar, while I stayed inside and used the Wifi. I went for a short walk down to the beach later on in the afternoon, but even that was a struggle. I was really disappointed as Corfu was one of the places I was most looking forward to visiting on Contiki. We had an early dinner at 6pm and then left for the port at 7pm, after having a group photo on the beach. We got on the first ferry pretty quickly. The ferry to the mainland took roughly an hour and a half to two hours. Our next ferry was delayed by over an hour so we just had to wait around. There were a lot of stray dogs. They all looked so sad and were so friendly. Paul and I went and bought them some meat that looked like luncheon rolls and some bread rolls. They weren't too keen on the bread, but loved the meat. You don't even want to know how much we spent buying food, but Paul and I have both always had a soft spot for animals. We finally boarded the ferry sometime after 1.00am. We all went straight to bed. Bec wasn't kidding when she said the Greeks work on 'ish' time.
