We have just arrived on the Greece mainland and have boarded our ferry to Corfu. It should only take us an hour and a half to reach Corfu, but Bec mentioned earlier that Greece often run on 'ish' or island time. I'm thinking about maybe doing the parasailing with Paul tomorrow. It's €30 per person and the banana boat is only €10. Today we have a free day to relax. I'm hoping that the resort will have WIFI. I'm pretty sure they do though. We've bought three large bottles of bottled water, as the Greek water isn't safe to drink. Paul also bought some extra snacks and a couple of water pistols. Everyone is sick on our coach now. Some people are seeing a doctor today. It's €80 for a call out and then whatever the doctor charges you for medication on top of that. If we just want panadol or throated we have to catch a bus into the Corfu town. You can't buy them in supermarkets and service stations like you can in NZ. We just walked up onto the deck to take some photos and get some fresh air. The sun rise looks like something you would see on a postcard. It's so beautiful. I've been awake since 4am. It shows in the photos! It's 4.30pm here now. We checked into our rooms this morning. We all have views of the beach from our rooms. The pool is amazing!! There are heaps of sun loungers and there's also a bar where you can buy food and drinks. We spent the day being lazy in the pool on the LILOs, sunbathing and eating ice cream. Tonight we're having dinner at 6pm and then have our toga party at 9pm. There are going to be five contiki buses here tonight which means roughly 250 people. Sounds pretty crazy!!! Tomorrow we've got water sports and are going out on George's Boat all day. I'm loving Corfu!! It's so nice to be somewhere where you can just relax for a couple of days. After Corfu we're off to Venice, which will take us roughly 24hours of traveling on the ferry and in the coach!!! Should be fun!
