Train from Oslo we were provided with entertainment from seat swappers and babies. Lots of pretty views though and winding tracks!
When we arrived found the 'Magic Hotel' at the top of a hill! Room very abstract - either cubist or someone was drunk went they designed it!
Evening walked around town, to Bryggen and the harbour where we had dinner. Made friends with a Norwegian waiter and tried linje Akevitt on recommendation - he was impressed we actually drank it as its 38%!

Next day breakfast was delivered in a brown paper bag to our door! Set us up for a day of travelling on every type of transport possible for the Norway in a Nutshell tour of the Norwegian Fjords.
Started on a train, followed by 'Flamsbana' railway, then boat (so crowded we had to stand for most of the 2 hour journey) Lots of lovely scenery and photo taking!
Next was bus - free for all as so many people but all the Brits waited at the back and queued. Drove down some scarily steep roads and tight bends!
Last was train again back to Bergen and picnic dinner at hotel courtesy of 7-11. Sorry no drink of the day!
