Early train from Berlin to Prague - Harry Potter like carriages and not much bag room! Arrived at lunchtime and found our hotel (opposite Marks and Spencer!) before spending the rest of the day exploring the sights of Prague.
Started with a brief waffle stop (!) and then went down into the old town to see the square and astronomical clock, before visiting the castle district (up a very big hill!) and all the sights around there. All very pretty and got some good views.
On the way back down we passed a chocolate shop selling chocolate beer so naturally had to try it! Was so hot so anything cold was nice!
Walked back along the Charles Bridge and wandered round some souvenir shops in the old town for the rest of the afternoon.
Had dinner in the old town square of traditional 'Prague ham' and ice cream! Drink of the day aperol spritz! Then went up the town hall tower (many more steps!!!) in the dark to get some good views of the city all lit up before heading back to our very hot hotel room!
