Tom's day had finally come, much to his joy no doubt, as we started our day with a visit to Hamley's. It was decided that we'd begin on the 5th floor and work our way down to the basement. We had arranged to visit Ted and Madge today. They really are both looking wonderful, especially since they are in their late 80's and early 90's. To still be living at home and looking after themselves is a marvelous accomplishment. We always have a great time with them catching up on everyones goings on and many laughs were had over a lovely indian lunch. Sally still not feeling well so Ian and Tom took the bus to Ealing for a repeat visit to a couple of shops before returning to cook a small roast dinner.

Everyone slept in today and when we eventually woke, Sally had a bit of a tummy-bug.Made a brief trip on the bus to Notting Hill Gate and groceries from Morrisons at Shepherds Bush Green before Sally's energy ran out and we returned to the flat. Ian later went out and had a wander through Shepherds Bush market. Seemed to be less stalls than last time and the variety of goods is smaller too.

With not much joy on the shopping front yesterday we thought we'd try our luck at Camden Markets. What a change, it looks like the asians have moved in and are pumping a lot of money in to the area. A number of new glass multistory buildings have or are being constructed on space previously occupied by some of the market.
