Finished packing the bags, loaded the car and were off on time at 8:30. Decided to drive to Dover by the backroads - very nice but took much longer then anticipated. Rang the rental car company to say we wouldn't make the 1pm drop-off, only to be told that they were open until 4pm!

Arrived in Dover ay 3pm, found the hotel up on the cliffs, emptied out the car into our room and then returned down to the Docks to drop the rental car off. Taxied back up to the hotel for a bit of a nap before an early dinner in the attached Brewer's Fayre pub.
