My last postcard was in Koh Tao an island on the East coast of Thailand. We moved onto Phuket which was a lively town and beach resort. We stayed on Karon Beach, which was full of bars with call girls....I suppose you could put it that way. Very much a typical resort, and plenty of old men with young Thai girls on their arms for company. So for those desperate men out there the place to go is Phuket!!!! We have finally made it to one of the islands, which I have to say is just beautiful. Koh Tao is only a small island but has plenty of restaurants and bars to keep entertained. Both Jason and I have decided to do our scuba diving course which is done over 4 days. We have started to do the theory part and yesterday we were in the pool with all the equipment on and learning some of the basics. Have to say didn't like it much at first as didn't...

After four nights in Kanchanaburi we decided to head south. Got a motorcycle taxi to the bus station...and when I say motorbike taxi I mean a motorbike with a steel frame for a seating area fitted on the side...interesting! Got the bus to Ratburi which was just over two hours south and then quickly jumped onto another bus to Hua Hin,...well thats what we were told anyway. Bus actually stopped at Phetburi and everyone disappeared..hmmm so where is...

We are now travelling Thailand. First stop was Bangkok and although a hectic city not as polluted and crazy as Vietnam. We have managed to get lost quite a few times as the street names mean nothing here. We have walked round the city and seen the normal sites and visited the central park. We also got a canal taxi which was interesting as you basically just jump on before the boat moves off again and hope you don't fall into the water...nice! ...
