Since my last entry we joined a boat tour that went round the lslands to Flores and Komodo. We departed from Lombok on the 5th Jan and travelled overland and visited a local village to see pottery being made, which I have to say was cheap and really nice....shame I haven't got the space to buy loads. Christmas has come and gone and of course we have now seen the New Year in....2006 it is! We managed to travel to Medan to get our flight to KL and then to Bali to renew out visa. We arrived in Indonesia on the 10th December as flew into Padang city. Bit of hassle to start off with as the lonely planet guide says that you can get a visa on arrival for a maximum of 60 days. Well we arrived and the maximum you can get is 30 days and you needed to pay and of course we had no local money on us so luckly they were nice people and escorted me through the airport to get some cash to pay for our visas.
