We left Wanaka this morning to head for Queenstown. It is only or so drive away. 25k from queenstown we passed the Queenstown bungy! We had been planning on doing but not today! But as we were passing we decided to pull in.I hadnt originally wanted to do a bungy but after seeing pictures of a couple we met in surfers I started to think about it! The bungy centre itself is really good, showing you the history of how bungy jumping started. We watched about 10 people jump and then quickly went to pay for us to jump too! Once we had paid if we didnt do it we didnt get our money back so the pressure was on! They were so busy the next available jump time was 4pm, which meant we had a 3 hour wait!! So we had lunch and drove 10 mintues down the road to arrowtown, we found a really nice campsite here, so pulled up and put a dvd on, although neither of us watched it properly as were both so nervous about jumping.

At about 3, we drove back to the bungy centre. We watched a few more jumps and then got weighted and checked in. we had to walk out onto the bridge we were jumoping off to wait in line for our turn. mike was to jump first, so after being strapped in...well, having a towel and a strap put around our ankles, lol, Mike stepped out to the edge ready to jump. After posing for a couple of pictures and hesitating for a few seconds he jumped!!! After he was pulled in by the boat it was my turn to go. I was so scared and so much more nervous than the skydive, that was easy compared to this! After having my ankles tied together, I wiggled out to the edge, after having my picture taken, I let go of the handle and threw myself out on 1! I screamed all the way down. It is like nothing I have done before but really good once I had done it! The worst was getting your toes over the edge and throwing yourself head first off the bridge. We got some really good pictures and dvd. I will try to upload the pictures which are a picture of a picture as we can download the originals but not for 3 days.

After our jump we drove into Arrowtown to have a walk around, it is such a nice little town. from here we went back to our campsite for the night.
