Emily's Trip
hello!
phew... fun comes with A LOT of hardwork i'll tell ya that!!!
i've been looking into my break and making myself face the intricate details of it that are often so tedious and boring but have to be done: oh my god - its simply impossible!!! i'll give you the short break down version so i dont give you the physical break-down that i'm having right now thinking about it lol...
i need to be in swakopmundo for the morning of the 14th june therefore realistically i should get there evening of the 13th and stay over at some place; they might be able to organise that for me. i have worked out that the easiest way to get to swakopmundo is with something called the "intercape bus". the bus would go from CT up to windhoek (the capital of namibia) and then we'd transfer onto another bus from windhoek to swakopmundo! these dont go all the time but i'd either have to leave on the morning of the 13th and arrive mid morning on the 14th which frankly is a little too late or leave on the 11th arriving in the morning on the 12th... i'd then have to organise extra accommodation for those nights and find something to do :oS hopefully they'll assist me slightly with that. talking of assisting i must say that sonja has been such a help to me over this past while!!!
once i'm on the tour... simple, sorted - phew!! then hopefully when i book it tomorrow morning i will be able to book accommodation for the last extra night they suggest and a flight down to joberg which they can organise so i'm back in south africa (fingers crossed at any rate!) as i haven't booked or sorted this out yet as everything is fricking closed over the weekend here its hard to know but i reckon i'd get back to j'berg on the 28th june although what time i have NO CLUE lol!
this would all be well and good if i simply then caught a plane back to CT got some final things sorted here and then zoomed off back home to all you guys... thats the simple option and therefore the one that isnt reaaaally what i'd planned to start with (as is always the way!)...
you may or may not remember that i was planning to spend a couple of days before the tour in a place called outdshoorn doing a couple of activities and then a couple of days afterwards in plettenberg bay, again doing some action hero type stuff lol ;o) which at the time of surface idea/planning seemed all well and great! BUT looking into the logistics of it now - i dont have time, which sucks big time!!! so dya know what i'm thinking;
you MIGHT (and i put that in capital letters cos i sooooooooo have not decided yet) have to do without me for another week or so... see option number 2, which makes more sense although emotionally i'm reluctant to do, would involve me delaying my flight for a week or 10 days or so and taking my time in these 2 places i planned to go on the way back to CT rather than rushing around.
logistically - why the argument against!?!?!?!
emotionally - cos i've built up the idea of coming back to all you guys on the 2nd, being around for my bday, seeing you all after sooo long of missing you etc etc etc that it sorta feels like i'd be a bit like oh well actually whatever to that and it'd just be a bit of a 'downer'... everyone i've spoken to so far doesnt get what i mean by that in the slightest and its very hard to explain with a keyboard but it basically boils down to the fact that i've been so excited about coming home and that day has been the day that this whole trip has concluded with that it just feels really really weird just dislodging all that just like that.
well, having probably confused you big time lol i shall love you and leave you for today and talk again soon! tomorrow a good 50% of it should be finalised... actually lets say more like 40 having a rethink here!
miss you all lots, lemme know your thoughts!
lotsa luv
