The day we left Bangkok and moved onto the amazing country of Cambodia! We set of at 7 in the morning getting a taxi to the bus station, getting our tickets for 750 baht before setting off on our 8 hour journey on luckily a coach with air conditioning!! Surprisingly to us we were the only British people on this coach trip
surrounded by German girls and a few Asian people too! We managed to sleep for most of the way due to be tired as usual! After 4 hours we came to the boarder crossing to cross into Cambodia, the crossing we had read up so much about yet were so unsure of what quite to expect! It was manic, motorbikes, tuk tuks, lorries and people walking and beeping all over the place. Along with it being filled with lots of massive casinos! The coach people had already went and got our visas for us (luckily) so it made the process a lot lot quicker only having to get off the bus to be stamped out of Thailand in one building and then walking to the next building to be stamped into Cambodia, that was our crossing of the boarder lucky for us worked out well and was very simple back on the coach we got and the journey then began into Cambodia! The views that we saw were so amazing like no other country we seen before! Green fields going on for miles either side of us with people selling fruits and many different foods along the road in little wooden shed type things, seeing children playing and jumping off a bridge into their river next to their house. From then onwards we were glued to looking out the window of our coach at this amazing country!
We then arrived in Siem reap a few hours after crossing the boarder this again was a hectic city/town yet so much nicer with so much more character than Bangkok. We got a tuk tuk to our hotel which we were surprised how nice it was for just £12 per night greeted by the nicest staff ever, we checked in and went out exploring Siem reap almost straight away!
