Arriving back in Hanoi after our trip to halong bay, quickly booking a hotel on the way back at the service station! Getting back to Hanoi only planning on spending one night due to us not loving cities however we ended up being there for 5 nights due to sorting visas and everything being very rushed as only a few days left in our visa for Vietnam so decided not to risk going anywhere else ! So Halong bay was properly amazing! Our bus picked us up and after a very cramped 4 and a half hours we arrived at ha long bay which didn't look like it did in the pictures!! However we jumped on a little boat that took us to the big boat for our nights stay. The big boat also didn't look like it did in the pictures in fact it was a bit dodgy but we met some nice people and we were all in it together so wasn't too a bad! So after quickly deciding to leave phong nha and make our way to Hanoi we arrived after our 12 hours overnight bus journey! Same as always getting awoken at 7am by the bus man shouting we have arrived and getting off the bus straight away being pestered about taxis and hotels by about 15 different people at once not nice when all we want to do is go back to sleep! We spent 3 days in Hanoi however there isn't that much to say as our time quickly came to an end,...

So phong nha was actually one of highlights of our trip so far! We actually only stayed one night but it was one to remember, we got to phong nha at 11am and went about checking into our rather grim hotel room! (Worst so far) but at least it had aircon! We knew phong nha was out in the sticks a bit but we really had no idea! We went underprepared! There isn't really much to say about hue (another city) because we only spent a day there at a very nice hotel considering only being £7 a night! We spent most the day resting other than going out in the morning to explore a little! However there is a lot to say about our journey there! We heard about riding a motorbike from hoi an to hue one way, so thought we would give it ago! A journey that by bus with the driver actually knowing the way should take 3-4hour...
