Right! Where to start! Ok, I suppose before I tell you about the wondrous Uncle Brian (but really Uncle Bart tour) I should tell you about the great Crepe war of 2006! Being the big piggys that we are, Emmy and I decided to treat ourselves to a crepe pancake thing on the way home the other night - twas massive and packed with fruit and cream and the like. Anywho, the 2 blokes on reception "jokingly" asked where theres was rah rah rah, banter was exchanged etc etc. Anywho, we ate our crepes (or tried I felt so ill and chucked most of it away!) and nicked out for literally about 5 minutes. We got back and Em went up to our room to find our blankets and pillows missing and a ransom note on the bed! The pikey receptionists were demanding 2 crepes by the stroke of 9 oclock else we would be chilly that night! (Didnt like to tell them that its still like 15 degrees hotter than England and hadnt actually used the blankets yet!) Anywho, a note was passed back detailing our feelings about their criminal act and convict ancestry (which they were proud of earlier in the day!) and subsequently one of them came and sat with us and pretty much mocked us for about an hour and a half! Althoguh to be fair he did defend me saying that I'm not crap, I'm English! Put that in your pipe and smoke it all you doubters! Anywho, the banter has continued for a few days and it turned out they were kinda thoughtful theives and took care not to dirty up our blankets etc, but the cleaners came in the next day and accused us of having stolen them!! Our roomate had to defend us!! We are now commonly referred to by other receptionists as the girls who tried to steal the blankets! The cheek! Right! Now, Em and I booked ourselves on Uncle Brians tour which we were very excited about (despite Bennie and Emma2 trying to ruin it for us - grrr!). Anywho, Uncle Brian is too cool to do the tours now adays so we had Uncle Bart!! WOW! Imagine the portly one from Hale and Pace with Emmas hair!! Thats our Bart! He greeted us with "Wheres Jerry" leading to confusion then explanation that he thought Jerry Seinfeld was gonna be there rah rah rah - and that is how I was introduced to the bus! Not embarrassing at all!! Anywho, Uncle Bart is a lunatic!!We had the best day - he was just off his rocker!! We were introduced to Gus the Bus and had many a sing song - he hid some tambourines under mine and Emmas chair and made us play them for everyone because apparently we had brought them along as a reminder of our days playing tambourine naked on a bar in London! Anywho! Our first stop was Josephine Falls where we all went swimming in a beautiful (but freezing!) river/waterfall place. AND went down a rock slide which was so much fun! Yes I did nearly kill myself on the way to the slide but was holding Uncle Barts hand so after nearly killing him too I was saved!! (T-he made reference to the Hoff and the similarities between them! Oh baywatch!) After that we went for lunch up near the Tablelands which was bootiful and made friends with THE cutest dog!! Lil Chilli we love you! Then we went to Milla Milla Falls which was in Peter Andre's Mysterious Girl Video (hence all the comments! Making sense now eh!) and in the Timotei ads! This place was so beautiful! You could get up behind the waterfall and look up to where it was falling and it looked like it was in slow motion! It was absolutely gorgeous! I cant even explain! I nearly died getting there of course but that just made it all the more breathtaking! After that we went to Crater Lake which was made by an explosion of the earths surface and was gorgeous at dusk while eating home made muffins and drinking hot choc! Heaven! We then went platypus spotting on the river (oh and saw turtles at crater lake) - I upset Gus by referring to him as "The Bus" but I gave him a hug and we worked through our troubles! We had the nicest people on our bus (hundred of Irish - Oh Steffy the accents!) and so there was much laughter and LOUD singing, especially when the mood lighting was put on - oh yes, Gus knows how to woo the ladies! Speaking of ladies, Gus apparently has a girlfriend who ius an ambulance (Photographic proof was shown to us) and so when we went past the ambulance service he got a bit over excited and "cried" on the windscreen - reeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeally nice Gus! Oh my goodness and we were driving along and Bart made us all crouch down in our seats then jump up shouting out the window and we were greeted by this lil old lady at the side of the road. She was so cute and she just pulled these giant stuffed catepillars out of a basket she had next to her one at a time and then waved us off with a tassle ribbon thing! That was it! She wasnt employed by the company she just apparently started doing that one day and now does it everytime a tour goes pass! Oh I nearly cried! Bless her heart! What else happened? Urm, Oh Jonathan - sorry but Me and Uncle Bart have a song now - its the "You can call me Al" song, Im Betty! It was the most surreal thing driving in the dark along bendy winding roads singing the Grease megamix and songs from Top Gun! YMCA was performed on a precarious stretch of road which was terrifying but very amusing! I know it doesnt sound very good the way i tell it but we had THE best day! Uncle Bart gave us a hug traa then got back on the bus shouting to everyone I met Jerry Seinfeld so i think everyone was happy! Im sure Em will tell me lots of stuff I forgot to say so this might change but that thats all I can think for now! Oh apart from Emmas friendship with Elmo which you can see in the photo album!
