Our luck with public transport is in as we got a cheap deal on the Greyhound to Noosa, our luck with choosing a hostel is equally is good. Its my first YHA ive styed in and its beautiful. Its an old lodge, all wooden, set in lovely grounds. The first night we had our room to ourselves, its like a little shack.
We went to the beach today which was lovely and the weather has been so warm, although by about 2pm we had been washed away as the sea came in so high. We have met up again with 2 Swedish Girls Elin and Anna who we originally met in Byrons "cockroach fest". We have booked 2 tours with them so on Friday we leave Noosa and head up the coast to Hervey Bay where i will meet up with Dom again and also to do Fraser Island. Unfortunately last week on Fraser there was a fatal accident involving a jeep and a wave so we have our wits about us. Also its full of wild Dingoes that are...wild! So we will do a 3day 2 night self drive there with a group of ten others and no guide... im sure that will be a good blog! Then we go up to Airlie Beach where we go and sail around the Whitsunday Islands for 3days and 2nights, that will be my first glance of the Great Barrier Reef! I have booked to go to Australia Zoo tomorrow which is the Zoo that Steve Irwin built with his family and then on our last day in Noosa we may walk around the National Park which apparently is huge.
Australia Zoo was amazing, i petted Koalas and Kangaroos and held a Burmese Python! Well worth it. They also put on a show at the Crocoseum which was pretty funny and really well done. There I saw them feed crocs and show how tame their birds can become by flying all over the Amphitheatre and back to their respective place. The ;ast day in Noosa we spent visiting the National Park(my flip flops broke at the start of the walk)!! It was amazing and we came across a few lovely beaches. We also bumped into the same guys that we met in Byron that we originally met in Adelaide!
