Day 319 (Sunday 19th October 08)

Made the most of the campervan park for the morning and enjoyed some toast again before we left, which we haven't had for 6 weeks! Drove down to Orbost stopping at the little towns along the way. Popped into the cute tourist information and picked up some leaflets. Went for a look around Orbost and then parked up by the Snowy River and went for a walk. Once we were back at Hoki Poki Mark realised he had a tick on his leg. Must have picked it up when he sat down in the campervan park on the grass to put his shoes on. After pouring hot water, then putting a match on it twice and finally adding tiger balm decided it must be dead so pulled it out with some tweezers. Luckily think all of it came out! Whilst in the middle of this some hoons stopped for a chat. More to take the mickey than chat! Luckily they were soon going home for their tea so didn't have to put up with them for too long. As Orbost was a very small town after we had made something to eat decided to see if we could find a rest area just outside of Orbost. Luckily only a few minutes up the road was Newmerella and a perfect rest stop for the night.
