Day 270 (Sunday 31st August 08)

We had an early start to go and watch the sunrise over Ayer's Rock as it had stopped raining and didn't look too cloudy! Nice to see The Rock in a different light. Back to finish packing and get ready to check out. Went and had a massive buffet breakfast again before getting the bags into the car and going for a drive around Ayer's Rock. A nice sunny day so got a good view of Ayer's Rock. The climb up Ayer's Rock was also open today for the first time since we had been there so watched some of the crazy people climbing up! Back to the hotel for a quick drink before going to the airport. Another good flight and arrived in Cairns. Got a minibus to the very nice hotel and popped out for something to eat as it was getting late and a very early start tomorrow!!
