Day 295 (Thursday 25th September 08)

Looking a bit brighter this morning but still some drizzle for a while. Had something to eat and parked up for a while to read our books to see if it was going to brighten up. Luckily after a while it did so we decided to go back to Byron Bay for another quick look in the sun. Stopped on the way at Pat Morton's Lookout and went for a walk up the hill to see the view. Then carried on to Byron Bay. Much nicer in the sun, went straight up to see the lighthouse again and then down to the beach. Then headed onto Lismore. When we arrived had a look around and then stopped for something to eat. Popped into the information centre and a very helpful guy gave us a lot of information and suggestions of things to do. The first was to do the walk along the river where we were already parked. Got to a butter churn model and pressed the button which then exploded into alarm sounds. Thought we had done something wrong until it started speaking. Listened while slightly embarrassed as everyone had looked round. Carried on along the river and then back to the car park. Popped into the Shopping Centre and then parked up to chill out and read our books. Cooked some food and then found somewhere to stay for the night.
