Arrived at River Kwai.

have just got back from 3 days of trekking in the jungle, it was brilliant. had 2 nights sleeping in a tribal village in their traditional styled huts. spent the whole day trekking but had plenty of stops next to waterfalls so we could cool down. our thai guides were chang/whisky drinking crazy people and entertained us at night by strumming badly on a guitar, round the camp fire, singing eric clapton and do a deer from sounds of music. we both enjoyed elepha...

Arrived in Chaing Mai today after two VERY long bus rides from Ko Samet & Bangkok! Had an amazing time on Ko Samet, which is a southern island. I lying it was actually quite stressful had to sunbathe, swim in the clear blue ocean, and drink beer in the evenings watching the sun set. 10 hours to get from there to Chaing Mai. Trekking 2morrow bit scared as having to sleep for 2 nites in the jungle, one under mosquito net the other in a hut. Mosquitos are rife ...

Arrived in Ko Samet today.

Arrived in Bangkok. Got a tuk tuk to the Grand Palace, which has the most amazing, intricate and slightly garish buildings. Had a little pray in a temple and took millions of pictures. Booked up trekking in Chaing Mai, two full days of trekking and sleeping for one night in the jungle. Bangkok is a mad place passed two elephants walking down the street earlier. Tried lots of Thai dishes and Chang the local lager althouh you don't want to eat or drink so much...
