Today we had a rest day as we have lots of things to sort out, primarily our washing! We had a well deserved lie in, and then went to find a launderette.
We discovered a massive shopping centre right around the corner from us, and found a launderette. However, it was about €3 per t shirt and we wanted to find a self service place instead so we left it. There was a supermarket in the shopping centre so we got some grapes and other snacks for the mini fridge in our hotel room. We also got some drinks there as it is much cheaper than at the hotel. We took these back to the hotel and then went to search for a launderette with the help of Google.
We eventually came across a self service launderette, and a lovely woman who spoke no English helped us. I was translating everything she was saying - Italian is definitely a lot like French and Spanish. We got the clothes washed and put them in the dryer. The whole thing took an hour and a half and cost €10, not bad!
We went back to the shopping centre for dinner, as it was about 6pm. Then we went back to the hotel to book the trains for next week. As usual, trenitalia were USELESS!!!!!!!!!!!! I don't want to bore you with the details but it took almost 2 hours to book reservations (NOT EVEN TICKETS), as the stupid train company put a 9 minute timer on booking trains, which is absolutely ridiculous. We also booked our hotel in Pompeii, where mount Vesuvius erupted and you can see people's remains from the Roman times. So far we are booked up to the 26th July!
