Today we went to the Grand Place to see it in daylight - as the buildings appear to have gold detailing. We then went to the Hard Rock Cafe for lunch/dinner because we hadn't eaten yet. We ordered 6 drinks and the waitress told us she had told her manager and he was shocked at how thirsty we were! It was boiling hot in our defence and there were noisy Americans next to us.
Afterwards we went back to the Mannekin pis and had a 1€ waffle. I had Nutella, strawberries and cream and Paul had cream and banana. THEN we were thirsty again because we had been walking around the city in the sun, so we went to Starbucks. I had a mango and passion fruit juice and Paul had a strawberries and cream frappuccino which he soon regretted!!
Then we wandered around the streets (avoiding the restaurant we did a runner from!).
Then we went back to the hotel and I taught Paul how to plait my hair. He's quite good actually!!
