We left Kendwa and our tour group in the morning to start our journey home. A bus took us to Stone Town, where we completed our souvenir shopping before catching the fast ferry back to Dar Es Salaam. The water was much choppier this time, not a good sign for someone who forgot to take her sea sickness tablets. It wasn't good for the Muslim lady sitting next to us either. Very early in the trip even before we got to the real choppy water she was looking queezy and then throwing up. For some reason she decided Michael's lap was a good place to rest her head while spewing. She must have had practice, no spillage. The staff give everyone a sick bag at the start of the journey. This lady went through four bags in about a two hour journey. Her hand kept reaching out trying to hold onto one of our hands or somethings hitting on Ella's leg. This did not please Ella as she was also struggling with sickness.
Once on shore everyone was much happier, Ella and I had a short walk to our hotel. Ella had booked a studio room, the cheapest possible, for the night as we had to leave early in the morning. For some reason we were upgraded to a 3 bedroom apartment. It could easily be lived in with a kitchen, dining room and lounge room. Ella was so excited she took photos.
