Ella decided to sleep in rather than join in on any activities. I decided to do a 12km bike ride to Hell's Gate National Park along with six others from the group. There are no predators within the park, although you never know with leopards, so walking, riding and camping is encouraged. We woke early for our game drive through the Maasai Mara. It wasn't long before we veered towards about 4 safari vans intently looking at a bush... which we soon discovered had 9 lion cubs and 2 big mums. The parents had caught a small buffalo calf to give to the cubs to practice their killing skills, but with their little teeth and claws it was more a case of cruely teasing the calf instead of eating it. 6thToday marked the end of our own travels. We flew from Maputo to Johanessburg then up to Nairobi where we met our tour group. The tour Ella and I had chosen was 23 days long but there was plenty of other options.
