We arrived in Nelson on Tuesday and stayed for 4 nights. It was a beautiful town with mountains and beaches and forests! It was sunny to which was the best thing! We spent the first day sun bathing on the beach. There were only about 10 people on the beach so it was lovely and quiet! AND i went for my first run, let's see how long i keep that up!

The next day we took a coach, cruise and trek trip in the National Park called Abel Tasmin which is probably one of the most beautiful places I have ever seen! Me and Martyn did a 12km trek up huge hills, through forests and into secluded coves. These coves were empty and actually had the golden sands and turquoise waters you see in the holiday brochures! Took soome amazing photos but the internet here is shockingly slow so still havent been able to upload any.

We spent the last day sunning ourselves by the hostels pool before heading out to town for our first dinner out. After 2 weeks on rice we were craving a pizza and got huuuuuuge ones each!

We did a quiz night at one of the locals bars and not surprisingly we came last as alot of it was about NZ culture, but we met a few of the locals who were amusing. Particuarly one sterotypical southern american who was 'happy as a clam!'

We also climbed up Botanical Hill and stood at the centre of New Zealand
