Hello!

We are pleased to confirm we have arrived safe and sound in New Zealand despite a 28 hour flight which comprised of 2 stops offs, 1 irate man behind Rachel and as much free beer as you want!

We have found our hostel relatviely easy and having checked in at 2pm (NZ time) we slept for an unprecedented 16 hours. The hostel is tatty but very clean and has everything we're looking for. Several buildings in the surrounding areas have been demolished by the recent earthquakes, luckily we've only experienced two minor tremmors in the first night!!

We've just booked our 'Magic Bus' tour which commences tomorrow morning. Our first stop is Kaikora where we'll be whale wathcing... we'll keep you updated.

Right now, we're going for something to eat and i'm going to try and encourage Rachel to part with some cash and get drunk with me!
