We got to Greymouth yesterday and only stayed ther to rest our heads on the way to Franz Josef where we are now.

We stayed in a funky hostel called Noahs Ark, each room was themed and we had a leopard room! Martyn was glad we weren't in the horse room!! We had leopard print everywhere, I am talking curtains, rugs, bed sheets, murals on the wall. Looked like a 70's pornstar pad. Someone got the sheep room so we did ok with that one!

We went to a brewery for a tour as soon as we had checked in and there was a good crowd of us. Beers were excellent and then we had dinner in their pub with accompanying jugs of beer. coach was at 8am this morning so it was a relatively quiet journey!

There was a really good range of people out with us including English, German, Canadian and Chinese... we all had a really good laugh and one of the chaps we were out with, sounded and acted exactly like Will from the Inbetweeners... hehe still makes me chuckle now.

the Magic Bus (the tour group taking us around the islands) are really good and they stop at lots of places on the way to each location, so we had the opportunity to pan for gold today. Other days have included seal colonys and beaches and paths off of the beaten track.

I'm (Martyn) going on a hike over a glacier tomorrow which should be really cool, the weather has been a bit grim today so hopefully it will pick up tomorrow. Will let you know how it goes.
