The kids decided they wanted to go to Disneyland It Didnt appeal to me so they went and I spent the day around town. First I went to Odaiba near Tokyo bay. There is an entertainment precinct there with a few attractions. The giant ferris wheel, Legoland and Toyota Mega Web. It is supposed to be interactive, and they do have a couple of simulators you can drive, but really it is a giant showroom full of EVERY model they make.
I forgot to tell you, on the way there I got lost in Shinjuku station for about 1 1/2hr. I couldnt find the right exit. The afternoon I just spent walkin around Shinjuku.
The reports from the kids about Disneyland seems like they really enjoyed it. The train trip there was between 1 1/2 and 2 hr. Cost of entry was 6200yen. The lines for food, merchandise and toilet were OK. A couple of the rides were long wait, one was 1 1/2hr another was 2.15hr. They went on a few and enjoyed them. The grand parade was 'awsome'. They found out about "express pass" after they had been and wish they knew about it before they went.
So How was it?

Kate; it was great to experience Tokyo Disneyland but it didnt live up to expectations.
Ash;it was good, should have checked out the express passes before we went, better than I expected, food was a reasonable price.
Laura; it was OK some lines were crazy really enjoyed it.

Steve Those train stations are huge aren't they if you come out the opposite side that you should have and you may as well be in the wrong suburb.
john Skelton In some cases you are in the wrong suburb. The other day I walked for about 20min from a train station and passed 3 other entry/exit for the same station.
