dzasta travels
I got a couple of the station names wrong yesterday so will probably do it again today.
After breakfast we headed out. Chris wanted to go to the Pokemon centre so that was the first call. It meant a couple af changes on the train but we got there. Chris and Laura went berzerk in there and bought heaps of stuff. Looked like overpriced junk to me but they loved it.
We had to backtrack to get to Shibuya, for THE crossing. It is one of the busiest crossings in the world and one everyone has seen heaps on TV. While we were there we had a look around and decided we will go back later to see it at night. We walked from there to Harajuku to see the "harajuku girls". They dress up like cartoon characters and parade around for the punters. We asked around but couldnt find them, although we did see a few in our travels. Someone said best place to see "cosplay kids" was Akihabra.
That is all the way over the other side of town so on the train again. This time we were in a hurry to get out of there cos there was a big dust storm rolling in. Akihabra is the electrical capitol of Tokyo so we walked around looking and the kids were looking at all the anime stuff. It was another long train ride home and we all felt like it had been a big day and it was only 4pm. We came home for a while then went out for dinner and be home for an early night. The weather was just warm today and freezing cold tonight. part of the reason for coming home before dinner was to get warm clothes on.
Kate is gettin good at reading the stupid train maps, Im lazy, I just go to the information counter and ask them which train.
There wont be many pics cos not a lot to see.
The weirdest thing we have seen so far..a guy walking a duck on a leish and the duck was wearing shoes.
