Since have 4 hours waiting for my taxi to the airport so I can sit and wait 6 hours for my flight back to Istanbul I might as well finish this.
The transport system in Israel is really good. There are dual carriage way high ways between every major town. The public bus system to some of the smaller towns can be a little problematic, especially on Shabbat.
The accommodation is terrible. The places I have stayed are waaayy over priced. I can get better rooms in Asia for less the $15 and here I am paying $50. The one in Nazareth was a standout for being good and it was the cheapest by far. Food is also expensive with the average being $20 or more for something substantial.
There is not much here that is old. I was expecting old stuff everywhere but there is nothing. It is really all about Jesus and the bible. I get why most people come but if it wasn't for the bible references there would be nothing to come for. I have been lucky enough to see two tombs where Mary was buried, a few Church of Annunciation and at least 4 or 5 Church of Ascension. I also got to see the EXACT spot where Jesus was born, where a woman wiped his face and a couple of places where he tripped and nearly fell. They all have an angle on it.

This will probably be my last post this time cos I am going back to Istanbul for a couple of days then home. I am just going to do some shopping, I haven't got nearly enough T shirts and chill for a couple of days. I am going to stay in the prison cell in Istanbul again cos it is clean, the staff are good, the location is brilliant and the breakfast is the beat I have had here.
