Sunday drinking :-)

Cheaper isn't always better!!! Something I have found out the hard way. Since leaving MF Global in April, I have begun to appreciate the cost and more importantly the utility of the things I purchase. It also probably won't surprise people to know that this appreciation has been inversely proportional to the balance in my bank account!!! I would imagine that some people would also see some sort of justice in an ex-investment banker having to watch his pennies ...

Wowzers. Turns out two people have a lot of stuff. This week we have been sorting packing, loading and unloading a van to empty out the flat and leave it in a state to rent out. Big thank you to our parents for the free storage :-) Now just the final injections, visas, anti-mosquito trousers (I know, who knew?!) and other supplies to arrange... Dann's off to Nepal on Mon and me to Southern India the following Thurs...

Today has been quite tiring. Lounge is almost there and some clothes are set to head to a charity shop but still a lot to do... On the plus side, flight booked to India tour and, pending confirmation from the local operator in a day or two, I am all sorted for a 15 day tour of the South. Yay! Oh and now 2 down on 3 Hep A & B injections. Oops, maybe not that riveting! Sorry. Anyway, hopefully we have managed to link the blog to at least my facebook and twi...

Well it 's been an emotional few days... Friday was my last day at work and I was totally overwhelmed by the lovely messages, emails, hugs and number of people who went out of the way to come and say goodbye. I am still not sure that I have processed the fact that I have left. I am starting to look for my blackberry a little less by now though... I have such a great goodbye messages book from everyone that I can keep reading to remind myself and lots of emails ...
