Cheaper isn't always better!!! Something I have found out the hard way. Since leaving MF Global in April, I have begun to appreciate the cost and more importantly the utility of the things I purchase. It also probably won't surprise people to know that this appreciation has been inversely proportional to the balance in my bank account!!! I would imagine that some people would also see some sort of justice in an ex-investment banker having to watch his pennies ...

Wowzers. Turns out two people have a lot of stuff. This week we have been sorting packing, loading and unloading a van to empty out the flat and leave it in a state to rent out. Big thank you to our parents for the free storage :-) Now just the final injections, visas, anti-mosquito trousers (I know, who knew?!) and other supplies to arrange... Dann's off to Nepal on Mon and me to Southern India the following Thurs...

Today I have mostly been ignoring the pile of books thinking, must finish one more chore and then get straight down to my research. Washing done, house clean, washing up all done and away, emails sent. Hmm no research done. Eek. Good thinking though. At least tomorrow is Sunday!! leah
