This morning we left Ulverston to visit Cradle Mountain and walk around Dove Lake. We left The home of Sues Brother in bright sunshine but by the time we had travelled into the mountains we watched as the temperature dropped and dropped and dropped. After a good Sunday Roast in the Pub last night and a hotel style breakfast this morning we set off to see the highest waterfall in Tasmania. We drove through lots of woodland and arrived at the waterfall. To get to the base we had to walk down a path which was full of fabulous tree ferns. After a nice birthday meal last night in a restaurant with a view to die for, we left Cole’s Bay this morning heading north for St Helens. Not a long journey, we stopped off in a small town called Bichero for some bread for lunch but our next stop was at a small brewery/ winery and by 11am we were sampling beers and wines. Wow what a place to spend your birthday - Wineglass Bay. You are meant to see it in bright sunshine and the sea should be turquoise, not today I’m afraid.
