An early start this morning to accommodate the Brisbane rush hour. The weather was atrocious-rain like I have never seen before. Got to the airport parking and lo and behold it stopped whilst we got the bags out of the car and on the shuttle bus. Then it started again. By the time we took off for Tassie the sun was out and after a 3 hour flight we landed in Hobart. Picked up a very nice Nissan X Trail car and we were off.

It’s much cooler down here and the sky’s were English Grey. Stopped off at a Woolworths Supermarket for provisions and drove down the Tasman Peninsula. Tonight we are staying in a lodge overlooking the water and it’s beautiful. We have had a nice meal in the on site restaurant and are ready for a good nights sleep after our early start this morning.
