This morning I got up really early to get my first Greyhound bus down to Mission Beach - where I had booked my skydive!!

I saw Katherine from Lisburn on the bus and sat with her, and Christina and Julia were sitting practically across from us as well which was really cool! Unfortunately I wasn't feeling particularly chatty after all the champagne so I just slept most of the way!

When I arrived in Mission beach there was a free bus transfer to the hostel...which turned out to be about a 90 second journey haha. In those 90 seconds though I met Beth and Owen, who were really nice, and managed to convince Beth to book on the same skydive as me so that I would have a friend! haha, it's funny how quickly you can make friends here.

I stayed at Absolute backpackers which was alright...I wasn't hugely impressed with my room, quite a lot of bugs, but the communal areas were nice. There was a TV room with aircon where I spent most of the day, watched James Bond - Qantum of Solace with some Danish guys, then I went in search of food. On the way back I found a tour operator called travel bugs, and stopped to book a white water rafting trip for the day after my skydive, and figure out what I was doing next! The lady was really nice and I ended up booking on the same sailing boat as Anna (from travelling Asia) for the Whitsundays. It was a bit more expensive but I figured it was worth it for the company! After that I could use the internet for free so stayed there until it closed, sorting my life out a bit, and even finally got an australian sim card (thrown in with all the stuff I booked!).

That evening I just chilled, chatted to Beth and Owen for a bit, had dinner, then watched Definitely, Maybe in the TV room - still really like that film! Had a reasonably early night because I had yet another early start!
