ITALY - DAY 26

Ice cream for breakfast today. We had to try to eat up all the food as we were leaving the villa. The caretaker arrived and after a quick walk through handed back our deposit and we were on our way back to Salerno along the windy, narrow road. 30 kilometres and one and a half hours later we arrived. There was a lot less traffic on the road this morning so we had hardly any dramas with the passing and parked cars.

We arrived back in Rome and realised that we had just had our final trip by regional trains. We headed towards our hotel and booked in. Then headed out for a wander around. We walked down to the Spanish Steps. There were people everywhere so we didn't hang around for long. We walked along streets turning at random intervals to explore areas we haven't seen before. We sat down for dinner and of course the girls had pasta. The meal was nice and after we finished we headed towards the Trevi Fountain to see it all lit up with lights. This is truly a beautiful fountain.
