TRAVELLING HOME We board the plane in Rome at 9:30pm and departed around 10:00pm. This was a relatively short flight of five hours before we touched down in Dubai. ITALY - DAY 28 Our last day. We decided that we would walk towards Piazza Navona and have lunch at a cafe overlooking the fountain in the middle. This is exactly what we did. The owner entertained us and we enjoyed every mouthful knowing that this was it, no more wonderful structures, no more crazy mad drivers, no more 'no problem' attitude of the Italians, no more of any of the amazing and fabulous things we have seen or done for the last three months. ITALY - DAY 27 We all slept in this morning after our later dinner the evening before. Today we were going to walk around and take streets that we haven't travelled on before. We started off at the Spanish Steps and climbed up. From there we walked along the top to a large garden. ITALY - DAY 26 Ice cream for breakfast today. We had to try to eat up all the food as we were leaving the villa. The caretaker arrived and after a quick walk through handed back our deposit and we were on our way back to Salerno along the windy, narrow road. 30 kilometres and one and a half hours later we arrived. ITALY - DAY 25 We all slept in today and lounged around. The girls and Pasqual headed to the pool where they played with another family from England. After lunch it was back to the pool with the girls, Pasqual, Josh, Eddie and Simon playing water sports. We then headed up to the villa and cooked up a huge dinner of pasta before heading over to Simon and Emma's villa for drinks. We sat talking to them for several hours before heading back for bed.
