Carnarvon, Western Australia
Day 22. Heading south today to Carnarvon which sits just above the Tropic of Capricorn. Carnarvon is the food bowl of Western Australia on the mighty but dry Gascoyne River which flows 600 km into the Indian Ocean. A short detour into Coral Bay for a stroll on the white sand beach with its turquoise water. So many caravans filling the 3 van parks, what do all these hundreds of grey nomads do all day as none on the beach! Pasties and coffees at the local bakery...
