Friday We took the scenic train up the mountain to Kuranda. Through 15 tunnels and 37 bridges what a spectacular view. We stopped at the waterfall and had time to get off and take photos. We spent the day in Kuranda at the markets and I bought myself a dress. I loved the Butterfly House - it was so peaceful to watch all the different types flying around. Thursday We did a bit of shopping in the morning to buy more shorts and swimmers then we went into town taking a walk along The Esplanade. What a beautiful part of the world. Because of the stingers and possibility of crocs there is no swimming in the ocean so right between The Esplanade and water is a huge swimming pool. Wednesday We had our fIrst big mishap at Innisfail when the tow bar tongue snapped and the camper hit the road. Luckily we were coming to a stop at the lights so weren't travelling at any speed. Martin jacked up the camper to get the jockey wheel up and with the help of a local we dragged it off the road. Martin drove around the corner to see if he could buy another drop tow bar tongue. I waited with the camper for the RACQ tow truck which arrived shortly after...

Tuesday Yesterday we went slightly north to Mission Beach so it's south today to South Mission Beach. Took some beautiful photos of Dunk Island and had hamburgers on the beach for lunch. We did a lot of talking about a possible plan B and plan C in case The Ducks decide to change their plans. In the end we decided that we just have to wait and see what happens.

Monday Went up to the main street of Mission Beach and had a look at the shops then lunched at a really nice bar. We got a phone call tonight from Mud Duck to let us know that Vince had a heart attack while setting up at Emerald. He was flown to Brisbane so The Ducks are travelling with Colleen back to Brisbane. Once they have her settled and know more about Vince they plan to head up to Cairns via the coast hoping to be there by Saturday.
