Again the girls shot off early, while at 9:55am Rach & I had a shock that check-out was at 10am! b*****! Not what we needed with a hangover! A quick exit left us 2 hours to chill before our minibus into Guatemala at midday. The border crossing was only 10km away & was a smooth transition between countries. Rach sat up front with an older lady we'd met in the ruins, while I sat in the back with a mix of young Aussies, Americans & Danes, who I chatted to for a while before nodding off. We arrived in Antigua at 6pm to find most hostels full. We could've joined the others in a dorm in Jungle Party, but ploughed on to find a private room in Hostel Jacienda at $20 a night. As we walked the cobbled & uneven streets of the city, we realised it must be a tourist destination with all the gorgeous candle-lit fancy restaurants & the stunning town square. We opted for a slightly cheaper eatery, which wasn't that cheap after all. D'oh! No beers for us tonight. Just back to the hostel to chill.
