What a small world...
When we were in Kanchanaburi (beginning of December) we met two guys Sam and John. They were both travelling seperately, sam was heading down South and John was heading up North. Well when we were walking through the market in Kratie we heard someone shout "Dom" when we turned around we saw John running after us!!
We thought he would have been well ahead of us by now (as we were doing a similar route) but he loved Laos (he doesnt stop talking about it and is still drinking Beer Lao whenever he can get his hands on it, even thogh Angkor beer-Khmer local beer- is just as good) and ended up extending his Visa there so weve caught him up !
Kratie was a lovely little town. Famous for its Freshwater Irrawaddy Dolphins! So the afternoon we bumped into John and Katie, a girl he was with, the four of us went dolphin spotting down the Mekong! We saw loads! It was great but they weree soo fast that we couldnt get a photograph of them.
We got there just as the sun was setting and got (yet more) sunset photos! (You know you all love looking at them)
The next day we spent mostly updating our blog with millions of photos (this took 3 hours and we both had a computer each!) the internet here is ratehr slow and frustrating...
On the evening we went out for a few drinks with John, an american guy, an english guy and a couple from Finland. Early start tomorrow as have to catch the 9am bus to Phnom Penh...
