We're overnight in Christchurch, prior to catching a plane down to Queenstown and then a little plane down to Milford Sound where we'll go on a cruise out into the sound.

Today would have been a fairly uneventful drive down from Kaikoura, were it not for the fact I almost got the GLAMPERVAN stuck on a beach, or beach lane to be precise. Happily there are no photo's of this event but it was touch and go for a while, I was beginning to envisage the call I'd have to make to the MAUI dude!

With some assistance from my co pilot and 2 locals we escaped! If you've ever seen Ice Cold In Alex, where they try and reverse the Ambulance up a sand dune, welcome to my world.

Life in the van is pretty good, I'm surprised at just how good it is actually!

Anyway, no wineries today, so about to raid the fridge for another glass of Villa Maria.
