hey everyone, we moved on from airlie beach and onto a cattle station for a night which was a compulsary stop on the bus. it was a real working cattle station and when we arrived they had a roast dinner waiting for us which was lush. after dinner we had a go at cracking a whip which i wasnt very good at. ash seemed to get it after a bit but it just wasnt happening for me. in the morning we had to practice lasooing for a mini rodeo which was happening later. we fired a shotgun in the meantime at some clay pigeons and i missed all five. ash got one tho. not guna live that down soon. into the rodeo pen was me ash and a swedish girl off the bus in our team called "all in the same Goat" as we were capturing a goat and pretending to brand it. we started off slowly but with a time of 38 seconds we came 1st. ash did the branding and i had to flip the goat. was all good fune. then we went on a horse ride out to one of the paddocks and had to heard up loadsa goats and move them to another paddock. this was quite fun. i was on a horse called Bundy and he bit freckles who ash was on and kicked another horse he didnt like. then after the goats were all int he new field it was off to the town of 1770 where Lt James Cook landed in Australia. When we got to 1770 we found out we wernt actually staying in 1770 it was agnes water which is right next door to 1770. this is because houses in 1770 sell for over a million pound for little sheds they call houses just cos of where it is and no more houses can be built. the hostel we stayed at was lush. it was a resort and it was so laid back and we ended up staying in a house for a couple of nights with our own fridge and tv and stuff which was lush.they area around 1770 was nothing special and theres a bid rock there to say James Cook landed here but thats it really and nothing else. but we still stayed for 5days just cos of how nice it was. on to Hervey Bay and Rainbow beach next.
