We turned up to airlie beach which is the gateway to the whitsunday islands. a group of 74 little islands which are like paradise. nearly all of them are deserted. we stayed in airlie beach for 5 days in total and we loved it. we day a day trip to a couple of the islands ona powerboat which was fun. we went snorkelling. we saw huge bass which was a meter big. ive got alot of photos from underwater which i need to upload but cant do it here. it was nice just sitting on a little island only the 20 other people on the tour and watchin the world go by. We went to whitehaven beach which is in the picture there is a swirly bit of sand where the sea and a river meet but its so lush. the sand is 99.8% pure sand which means it speaks when you walk on it and feels like mashed potatoe when its wet. the best thing is tho it cleans your rings and and metal its polishes it up. the day trip was one of the best we have done for me. off to the town of 1770 next where Captian cook first landed in Australia. bye for now. j xxx
