We arrived in Fremantle yesterday a little bit after noon. It's good to be settled into my new home. I have a single room right next to the RS's, Tara and Anna. They are extremely friendly and very helpful. About half of the group arrived yesterday and the other half arrived today. It has been really fun meeting new people, and we will probably go out as a group to party tonight. The P & O Hotel is pretty nice. It's old, but very spacious and it feels very homey. I went with Sarah, Lindsay and Michael to do a little bit of grocery shopping at Coles. I got a bunch of stuff to throw in my locker, fridge, and freezer. We have plenty of our own personal storage space. The four of us also went bather's beach which is right by the McDonald's. It's a pretty small beach, but it gets the job done. Today is also the first day that we have sun! It felt good to soak it up. Tomorrow we begin orientation week, and I believe we are going to Perth to do an "Amazing Race". There has been plenty of down time today and yesterday, but It'll be kind of nice to have some structure again. I figured out my class schedule, and I don't have any days off, but the middle of the week is not very busy at all. Unfortunately I have to get up at 8:00am three days out of the week, but on those days my afternoons are fairly empty. I didn't get all my number one preferences but I like my classes. I am in Aboriginal People, Physical Geography, Theories of Counselling, Senior Seminar, and Australian History. Each class has a two hour lecture and a one hour, more interactive class. All just about all of my classes are 100 level so they should not be too difficult.
