Staying at Mataranka Homestead is the bomb. We woke up, had breakfast and had to walk a whole 50 metres to the hot springs. This place is AWESOME. We started a bit later this morning and that was good since we drove over 500 kilometres yesterday. It was an early start this morning as we started our long drive from Alice Springs to Tenant Creek. We drove over 500kms today but had lots of awesome stops along the way. We started today at Kings Creek Station. Last night we tried the pool but it was freezing! That did not stop us trying to swim! This resort is cool, we are basically staying in the desert. The Station is a working cattle station but with lots of other animals like camels, horses and even a donkey.
