Taking a break from walking the streets. Very warm today and as Peter says "the sights you see when you don't have a gun". We toured the Prado museum...the early 1400's and 1500's were fairly dark & religious on themes for the paintings and then you get into the erotic ones. Supposedly they were Adam & Eve, Venus and Madonna and Child but .... erotic for such religious topics. Many galleries -both of the old and very modern sculptures & paintings....

This city is amazing. So vibrant yet such old buildings. Did an historic city bus tour this morning and was overwhelmed with how they've incorporated the very old with the new. One church had a chapel built by St Francis of Assisi in the 1300's as part of it's current space. Yay we're in Madrid. Flights were fine...lots of people, screaming kids, luggage everywhere. The last hour flying was hard. Just wanted to go for a walk and stretch my legs. Felt so good to get here.
