First flight of the day completed - now 'in transit' in Auckland. Had to find a new book again. In the Fjordlands was actually reading the Famous Five mystery stories. Now boarding for Fiji, hopefully that will be the location of our next update!!!

Well this morning waking up to a sunny view of Mt Cook... Pretty cool! It had also snown over night so the tops were whiter than when we left them to go to bed! Ironic that there were already snow avalanche warnings, in the height of summer!! The drive was pretty uneventful - staying at an airport guesthouse tonight, having found a pizza takeaway to eat out in the park earlier - and flying out to Nadi via Auckland first thing in the morning. Windy... Very windy today! Even the poor car was shaking. Today was a long drive over to Mount Cook, site of a nature reserve and glacier and spectacular views - when it's not foggy and wet! Still the weather changes quick with this wind so in the space of a couple of hours it has also been bright and sunny, and now back to wet!!! Tomorrow is the last full day in NZ... Sniff... But not the end of our adventures yet! ;-)

Well today started off with breakfast in the stables, and a visit of the castle including up on the tower! Now visiting downtown, the likes of St Paul's Catedral and the Octogon area where the government offices are located.

Well this afternoon was pretty awesome. Passing Dunedin further along the peninsula, we arrived at the Larnach Castle grounds - I think the only castle in south island, founded by William Larnach as a family residence in the 1800s and now in the ownership of the Barkers family - who used it first as a family home.
