Whilst our thoughts are still with the northern OZ community recovering from cyclone Yasi, we are now seeing further devastation reports as a major (6.3) earthquake hit Christchurch at 12.51pm on 22 February. Whilst our thoughts are still with the northern OZ community recovering from cyclone Yasi, we are now seeing further devastation reports as a major (6.3) earthquake hit Christchurch at 12.51pm on 22 February. Thank you so much all for your texts/ emails/ comments & concerns, but thankfuly we were only due to be in Christchurch next week and we are therefore absolutely fine.
Our journey was successfully completed with our return home on 16 March 2011 - but feel free to continue browsing through these pages and photos. Kia Ora (from the kiwis) and Vinaka from Fiji!

Hi to you both -- greatly relieved that you are nowhere near the catostrophe in Christchurch -- it sounds devastating. We had a message from Vicky at 8.30 this morning saying where were you?? so have sent her the link to your blog. So -- everyone concerned! Do take care of each other and stay safe. We are off to India on Friday -- have 10 days in national wildlife parks so hope to see lots of animals, tigers of course!! have been concentrating on getting fit (not that we'd expect to outrun a tiger!!) but to cope generally with any walking/climbing --could I get up a tree? ---- then again do tigers climb trees?? -- as well as the parks we have a couple of days in Delhi at the start of the holiday and then we finish with a visit to the Taj -- will be back here on Sunday 13 March.

Was that you dangling from the parachute or did you just do a ground pose and then photograph someone else parasailing?
