25th May - I have been so lazy with my blog sorry.
Housekeeping first - The water in London is so hard most times I feel like a board
they have lots of lime scale in the water and it is horrible I spend half my week
descaling the kettle, dishwasher, iron etc also I need to put chemicals down the
plug holes as the pipes get smelly.
I have never used fabric softener but boy you need it here.
For the first month we were here my legs were covered in bruises as I have to
c*** my leg over a rather high bath with a tile edge to use the shower nand I could
not get enough lift or spring in my foot - but I have improved must be getting fitter.
I am excited as the weight has started to come off I have lost a stone in weight
I would like to lose another st0ne . The top half is shrinking thank goodness
if the boobs shrink I will be happy.
Robert celebrated his 67 birthday in early May and we went to Mayfair as he wanted
to visit Holland and Holland - yes a gun shop where he spent a nice hour talking and
admiring the $100,000.00 purdy guns. I browsed the shops - so expensive to rent in this
area you are looking at 3000.00 pounds a week minimum. We found a nice little Italian
and had lunch, it was our second choice there was another nice looking restaurant
1/2 empty but no this was a private club you had to be a member.
We have been to Windsor Castle twice if you get your ticket stamped on the way out
you can go as many times as you like through the year for free.
Windsor is a nice town and it is only about 30 minutes by train from us right on the
River very pretty. The queen uses this castle a lot and was there when we were
there - didn't see her of course. It is the largest working castle in the world,
amazing place it is like a large town. We did a tour of the state rooms which are
used to entertain the big wigs.
The queens art blew me away, van dyke's, Rembrandt's and all the other great masters.
The place is full too overflowing with treasure your need a few trips to take it all in.
Canterbury Cathedral
We spent two nights three full days - could have stayed longer.
We booked a B & B in the centre 5 minutes walk from the cathedral throughly enjoyed it.
Lots of see in the old town is so interesting windy narrow streets with the houses hanging over. The place we stayed was built in 1776 the garden was set in the old moat of the original castle you had to climb down if you wanted to sit there, there is quite a lot of the original wall that surrounded the castle and the old town - very interesting in some ways similar to York which we saw on our last trip.
We are 1/2 way through our six months and yet we still are enjoying London we don't
think we, will go up to Scotland there is still much to see here.
We went to the British Museum yesterday and say the Greek Marbles, there is quite a
lot of controversy over them as the Greeks want them back.
We also saw the and the famous Rosetta stone. Had lunch in a
posh pub because we couldn't find a restaurant with 1/2 decent chairs for Robert to sit on.
We were near Convent Garden and enjoyed the shops in 7 dials shopping area
We love going into the city, we just walk come home exhausted but there is something
interesting around most corners.
We are off to Bath on Tuesday

Liz & Craig Young Good to hear from you and the update on your boobs. Don't let them shrink too much, you'll get too tall. Have a great time in Bath it is such an interesting place you and Robert will love it. The ghost tour at night is lots of fun if you get a chance to do it and the Roman baths and its history you will find fascinating. Much more blogging required!!!!!!!!!
